47th Annual Imogene Pass Run – A Virtual Event
The Imogene Pass Run (IPR) is a typically 17.1-mile point-to-point mountain race from Ouray to Telluride over the 13,114 foot Imogene Pass—a 4x4 dirt road that passes through mining ruins, up jagged peaks, and above treeline. What began as a way to train for the Pike's Peak marathon in 1974 is now a full-fledged race.
However, this year’s race will be a virtual event. Participants can run the event virtually, completing the distance at the time and location of your choice. Each participant will receive all the race goodies in the mail, and the first 1,500 registrations will be invited to priority entry into the 2021 event.
Entry fees will pay for the race goodies and help fund the IPR Scholarship program, giving over $25,000 per year to student athletes. The IPR also donates over $30,000 per year to local school running programs, and local charities who support youth athletics as well as the event.
