8th Annual Pedal the Plains

Day and Time

Sep 13th, 9:00am - 9:00pm

This one-of-a-kind annual cycling event celebrates the agricultural roots and frontier heritage of Colorado’s Eastern Plains. Pedal The Plains (PTP) is a 3-day tour that averages 60–80 miles per day, and seeks to engage riders of all abilities, from seasoned cyclists to first-time riders, in an educational and recreational experience. The 2019 Tour will highlight three unique and charming communities: Lamar, Holly, and Springfield.

The event will incorporate interactive on-route experiences by staging rest stops on farms, posting educational points of interest and includes locally sourced food for a farm to table experience. Each evening in the host towns, participants will experience the hospitality and charm of a new community and enjoy boot-stomp’n live music, beer gardens, delicious and locally-sourced food, interactive educational exhibits, and a touch of country fun.
