Palisade Olde Fashioned Christmas
The whole town will be decorated for visitors to enjoy holiday magic with all the sights, sounds, tastes and shopping. Enjoy sampling soups, singing carols, sharing a carriage ride, marveling at Gingerbread Creations, walking through history, and savoring the flavor of Palisade.
It all begins on Friday, about 5 p.m. with caroling by the Taylor Elementary Serenaders marching up Main Street to the Town Plaza to light the town tree. Warm up with hot cocoa and coffee on the plaza or purchase a cup of soup from Altrusia’s Cup of Warmth. The Parade of Lights will follow at 5:30 p.m. with floats, bands, horses, fire trucks, buggies, and of course Santa!
On Saturday, the festivities continue with the Soup Challenge, and Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop where the kids can make a craft ornament and decorate a gingerbread house cookie. Plus, Santa will be there to get your Christmas lists.
