My Colorado Photos
Storm’s a-brewin’ ▲
Deb Wilch of Aurora submitted this photo online of an afternoon storm rolling in. “I often run/walk along the open space trails near Arapahoe County Fairgrounds,” Wilch tells EnCompass. “The dark clouds contrasting with the lighter prairie grass, and the depth of the farm machinery, inspired me to take the photo. I always bring my camera with me for this very reason.” Her camera: Samsung Galaxy S7. Member since: 2016 © Deb Wilch
A great catch ▼
Danny Galyean of Grand Junction submitted this photo by email of a great blue heron coming in for its catch on Corn Lake. “I start most days at the lake to relax and get in a better frame of mind, while watching the sunrise. I find sunrise and sunset the best times of day to reflect and unwind,” Galyean tells EnCompass. “One evening, my friend Lenard and I went to the lake. He was fishing, and I was sitting on the shore watching the sunset and birds. I could see the Heron was circling and snapped this shot as it came down for a fish.” His camera: iPhone 10.
