Did you know the frequency of home fires increases during the holidays? A crackling fire in the fireplace, candles glowing on the table, a turkey roasting in the oven—each of these elements of a picture-perfect holiday celebration can present very real dangers to you, your family and your home.
To help prevent holiday mishaps, AAA is offering members a helpful fire safety checklist—just right for posting on your refrigerator or other central spot. For every person who views the checklist at RedCross.org/AAAFireSafety, AAA will make a donation of $5 to the American Red Cross, up to $50,000, through December 31, 2016.
International travel savings
AAA’s Member Rewards Visa® credit card just added a new benefit: 0% Foreign Transaction Fees—a fee all credit card companies charge in order to cover the expense to convert foreign currency to U.S. Dollars. The standard foreign transaction fee in the credit card industry is anywhere from 3% to 4%. In addition, all new accounts will automatically receive an EMV chip card—the new standard in card security.

Free Maps for Schools
Each year, AAA Colorado updates its map inventory and donates surplus maps to interested Colorado educators. Maps make great interactive teaching tools, and there is a wide variety of titles available.
This year, maps are available in units of 50, and educators can order up to four (4) units (200 maps total) free of charge. To request maps, visit AAA.com/mapsforschools.

Brand of the Year
In a recently released Harris Poll EquiTrend® study, AAA was named the 2016 insurance brand of the year in the auto insurance category.

The Harris Poll is a random survey of U.S. consumers that measures brand equity based on familiarity, quality, and purchase consideration. AAA Insurance received the highest numerical Equity Score among auto insurance brands, based on opinions of 97,120 consumers ages 15 and over, surveyed online between December 22, 2015 and February 1, 2016.
The EquiTrend Brand Equity Index measures brands’ health over time. Brands ranking highest in equity receive the Harris Poll EquiTrend® “Brand of the Year” award for their respective categories.
