Sound of Music with Oberammergau
Join the von Trapps on an Austrian adventure that will make your heart sing, from Munich's medieval charm to the 19th century fortress once home to a shy fairy-tale king. Explore the heritage of the Habsburg Empire and discover the romantic setting for several 'Sound of Music' scenes in Salzburg. Since 1634 and now only every ten years, the tiny picturesque Bavarian village of Oberammergau performs the Passion Play. This tragic and deeply moving chronicle depicts the passion of Christ at the time of the crucifixion. The cast is made up exclusively of the local villagers and equals any professional production in both sheer spectacle and emotion; attracting visitors from around the world. It is an experience that will exceed every expectation and one AAA Colorado highly recommends.
