AAA Colorado Merges with The Auto Club Group
The second-largest AAA club now has more than 14 million members
DENVER (May 6, 2020) – AAA Colorado today announced that it is merging and combining operations with The Auto Club Group (ACG), the second-largest AAA club. By joining the ACG family, AAA Colorado members can look forward to a new array of products, services, and membership benefits – while employees can expect even greater opportunities to serve Colorado, and to make a difference across North America. Members and the public will know ACG’s Colorado operations as AAA Colorado.
With Colorado part of The Auto Club Group, the AAA club now serves more than 14 million members and has 10,200 employees. The Auto Club Group’s service area now includes Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, most of Illinois and Minnesota, a portion of Indiana, and the province of Quebec. AAA Carolinas merged with ACG earlier this year.
Joseph J. Richardson, Jr. will continue as The Auto Club Group President and CEO, while Linda Cavanagh, the President and CEO of AAA Colorado, is retiring following a long and successful tenure leading the Colorado club.

Prior to joining ACG, AAA Colorado was an independent AAA club with excellent member growth and satisfaction. AAA Colorado’s nearly 100 years of serving Colorado now joins more than a century-long legacy of community service within The Auto Club Group.

The combined organization will provide membership, roadside assistance, auto, home and life insurance, travel and financial services to its members.
